Fanless touchscreen PC with projected capacitive touchscreen options

BVM announces the new AFL-F08A, an 8 inch fanless touchscreen PC with projected capacitive touchscreen options. The unit is based on the Intel Atom N270 processor running at 1.6GHz, Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets with addressing for up to 2GB of RAM. The flat bezel design provides a clean front face sealed to IP64, allowing unit to be installed in many different operating environments. In addition to single point resistive touchscreen operation, the unit is available with optional projected capacitive touchscreen (PCT) capability, providing multi-touch control when running under Windows 7. Typical applications include consumer information points, ticket machines, kiosks, building automation controllers, distributed entertainment systems and other similar uses. The system runs under Windows CE, Windows XPE, Windows 7 and Linux.
 
Internal audio capability is provided, as is a line out audio port. 2 x GigaLAN ports, 2 x USB ports, and external SATA drive and RS-232 and RS232/422/485 serial ports are standard, and an optional wireless LAN 802.11 with internal Mini PCIe interface, Bluetooth 2.0 internal USB and a webcam and microphone are all available.
 
Power is from an external autoranging PSU providing 12V, consumption is 32W and the unit can be installed in wall, in panel or on a VESA stand and arm.
