IDEC upgrades

IDEC has upgraded its original two- and three-channel analogue and thermocouple modules for the Pentra and MicroSmart PLC ranges. These modules are available with various I/O combinations and benefit from significant improvements in terms of sampling duration time (down to 10ms), total input system transfer time (down to 60ms) and total output system transfer time (down to 10ms).

The resolution of the thermocouple module has been improved from 12 to 14 bits, giving an accuracy of 1 part in 16,84, and all modules are less susceptible to electrically noisy environments. Analogue data transfer to and from the MicroSmart and Pentra PLCs has increased significantly, so update time is no longer an issue in certain applications.
