Sontay launches wireless sensor CPD course

As a recently approved CIBSE accredited CPD trainer, Sontay, a manufacturer and distributor of field control devices, has introduced its first course for building services engineers, entitled Wireless Temperature Sensing Systems. The new course will cover a broad range of topics, including topics from how wired systems are installed into buildings to the advantages of using wireless systems over conventional systems in HVAC control applications.

The courses presentation can be given at Sontay’s specialist training facility inEdenbridge,Kentor on a customer’s own premises. Sontay can also supplement this CPD session with additional training on a range of additional HVAC topics, if required.

The SonNet family of wireless sensing devices provide accurate measurement of temperature and relative humidity within a building and communicate these readings reliably to its control system. With self-healing tree topology, SonNet eliminates concerns over reception and reliability that are often associated with existing point-to-point wireless systems. It enables faster and easier controls installation on new buildings, where project timescales for installation can often be extremely pressurised as well as cost savings of over 25% on the total installed cost.
